Madhya Pradesh: Congress MLA And Former Minister Mahendra Singh Kalukheda Dies

Bhopal, September 12: Congress MLA and former minister Mahendra Singh Kalukheda passed away on Monday. He was 72 years old. His cousin said that the Mungawali MLA was admitted in hospital for 21 days.He will be cremated in Kalukheda village on Tuesday. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Vidhan Sabha speaker Dr Sitasaran Sharma, leader of opposition Ajay Singh have expressed grief at his death.

Recently, a stent was installed into him in Delhi. However, in the last few days, his health deteriorated in Bhopal. He was admitted to the Hamidia hospital. For better treatment, he was airlifted to Delhi. But he didn’t regain consciousness.

Meanwhile, tributes poured for the leader. Congress leader Kamal Nath said that he worked sincerely and fairly and he made politics a medium to serve people. Ajay Singh that Congress lost a dignified soldier.
